The main component of equiaxed crystal system is calcium fluoride (CaF2). The fluorite stone can glow under the condition of friction, heating, ultraviolet radiation, etc.

There are two principal commercial grades of fluorspar: Metallurgical grade (60-96% CaF2) and acid grade (+97% CaF2).
