Application

Modern industrial manufacturing, such as papermaking, generally requires the addition of 10% to 20% talc for paper sizing. In high-grade coated paper, kaolin (or calcium carbonate) talc is added in an amount of up to 40%. Another example is plastic products. The amount of modified talc powder added can be as high as 30%-50% depending on the product requirements. The added amount in some PVC products has reached as high as 70%.
