Titanium dioxide, an important inorganic chemical pigment, is mainly composed of titanium dioxide.
It has rutile type (rutile R type) and anatase type (anatase A type) two kinds of structure, rutile crystal structure is compact, relatively stable, optical activity is small, so weather resistance is good, at the same time, it has high hiding power, achromatic power.
Titanium dioxide is a soft, odorless and tasteless white powder with strong hiding power and coloring power, and its melting point is 1560~1580ºC. Insoluble in water, dilute inorganic acid, organic solvent, oil, slightly soluble in alkali, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid.
