Product Description

Washed kaolin clay Calcined kaolin clay Metakaolin clay

Kaolin is a non-metallic mineral, which is a kind of clay and clay rock dominated by kaolinite clay minerals. Because it is white and delicate, it is also called dolomite.
Its pure kaolin is white, fine and soft, with good physical and chemical properties such as plasticity and fire resistance. Its mineral composition is mainly composed of kaolinite, halloysite, hydromica, illite, montmorillonite and quartz, feldspar and other minerals.

Application

1. Paper industry. In pulp, kaolin usually has little reaction with its ingredients, has strong stability and can be well retained in paper fibers. At the same time, kaolin has fine particle size and strong fluidity.
2. Ceramic industry. Kaolin can increase the content of Al2O3 in ceramics, and the formation process of mullite is easier, so as to improve the stability and sintering strength of ceramics. In ceramic firing, the decomposition of kaolin into mullite is the process of forming the green body frame. This process can broaden the firing temperature range, make the ceramic green body not easy to deform, and improve the whiteness of ceramics.
3. Rubber industry. Kaolin filled into the colloidal mixture can enhance the wear resistance, chemical stability and mechanical strength of rubber, prolong its hardening time, adjust the mixing, rheology and vulcanization of rubber, improve the viscosity of unvulcanized products, and prevent its collapse, depression, sagging, flat pipe, deformation, etc.

4. Plastic industry.  As a plastic filler, ridge soil can make the surface of plastic products flat, accurate size, resist chemical corrosion, reduce thermal shrinkage and thermal fission, and is conducive to the polishing process.
5.Coating industry. Kaolin has long been used as filler for coatings and paints because of its white color, low price, good fluidity, stable chemical properties and large surface cation exchange capacity. Kaolin used for coatings generally includes water washed ultra-fine kaolin and calcined ultra-fine kaolin.
6.Cosmetic industry. Kaolin has good adhesion to skin, and has the function of inhibiting sebum secretion and sweat absorption. It is mainly used in cosmetics, such as powder, foundation, eye shadow, talcum powder, loose powder, blush and other cosmetics.
7.Refractory materials. Kaolin with high whiteness, fine powder and good suspension is mainly used to produce refractories, semi acid refractories and special refractories (such as crucibles for melting, optical glass and control glass fiber, which can replace platinum crucibles).
