Product Description
Low Sulfur 98% Carbon Graphite Petroleum Coke Carburetant
Graphitized petroleum coke is to place petroleum coke in a graphitization furnace. After a high temperature of about 3000 degrees, the amorphous turbostratic carbon crystals of petroleum coke are transformed into hexagonal layered structure crystalline carbon, that is, petroleum coke becomes graphite. This process is called graphitization, and the petroleum coke treated by the graphitization process is called graphitized petroleum coke, commonly known as "graphitized coke".
Application
Graphite Petroleum Coke is widely used as carburant in the steel-making industry and precision casting industry, reduction pregnant agent in the casting industry, reducing agent in metallurgical industry and as one kind of refractory, etc. High carbon content low sulfur calcined petroleum coke is made of calcined petroleum coke as raw material, then going through fully graphitization of the continuous graphitization process under the high temperature of minimum 2600ºC .
